Stress is a part of life, it’s a normal psychological and physical reaction of the body when exposed to uncomfortable and difficult life circumstances. Sometimes it motivates you to get things done. But things don’t stay the same when you start taking on too much stress and for a longer period of time. 1. Eat healthy: Including fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. A healthy body is the home for a healthy mind. Include a well balanced diet in your lifestyle.
2. Enough sleep: Lack of sleep can increase your stress levels and once your stress hormones are at a high level , you will find trouble falling asleep even if you want to. It’s a vicious cycle. Got a big day? Instead of stressing out, get enough sleep, you will be fresh and energetic the next day. Take naps when you feel low, don’t procrastinate sleeping for binge watching your favourite series and have enough sleep.
3. Be active: Take a Walk, do yoga, try meditation, go for a run or take your dog for a run. Just being active as exercise releases feel-good hormones makes it easier to deal with stress.
4.Have a me time : Try listening to your favourite music, painting, journaling, taking a long walk, reading a book, lightning candles and enjoying nature or anything you love, to get relaxed and make yourself feel good.
5. Personalise your tools: Understand what your body responds to when in stress and identify what works for you to cope up with the stress.
It's all about what your body, mind and heart respond to. So, try out all the possible ways and try to find the root cause that is responsible for your stress most of the time.
