Here are some Dos and Don’ts to get healthy and thick eyebrows.
Dos:
- Only go to an eyebrow expert for initial shaping of the eyebrows.
- Slant-tipped tweezers are best useful for grasping tiny brow hairs.
- Cover your white hairs with pencils or powder and do not pluck your eyebrows as it results in sparse brows.
- Use brow gel to get a clean look. Before applying the gel, scrape the brush against the opening of the tube so as to avoid applying the gel on the brows more than required.
- Use a pencil one shade lighter than your hair colour so as to fill your brows.
Don'ts:
- Pluck only stray hairs below and tweeze the hairs above your brows so as to maintain the shape.
- Using black pencil for eyebrows is recommended.

- Brushing your eyebrows everyday will make them look neat and stimulate hair growth.
- Natural brows look better thus do not over pluck.
- Use eyebrow trimmer so as to maintain the shape by getting rid of the unwanted hair on your own.
- Massaging castor oil on the brows and combing them on a daily basis makes them grow thicker.
- Applying aloe vera gel soothes irritation and enhances shine.
- Exfoliate your eyebrows at least once a week so as to remove impurities and dirt which can get trapped and may cause various problems like acne.
- Use eyebrow growth serum while going out.
Home remedies you can try for thick eyebrows:-
- Apply and massage coconut oil on the eyebrows and leave it overnight so as to get growth in hair.
- Add olive oil to your eyebrow care routine and see the difference in the hair growth.
- Apply peppermint oil, leave it overnight and wash it off the next morning. Doing this regularly will give you thick and shiny eyebrows.
- Rosemary oil also promotes hair growth.
- Lavender oil can be used for gaining darker eyebrows.
- Onion can be applied on the eyebrows because the minerals of an onion provide oxygen to the hair follicles thus accelerating hair growth.
- Applying unripe bananas are good for getting fuller eyebrows. Mash the banana and mix honey to it and apply it at night and rinse it off in the morning. Do it regularly and results will be visible gradually.
