 How to support someone in crisis:

1. Recognize the Signs:

Be alert to changes in behavior, mood swings, withdrawal from social activities, or expressions of hopelessness. Early recognition can make a significant difference.

If you notice someone struggling, approach them with genuine concern. Use phrases like "I've noticed you seem upset lately. Would you like to talk about it?"

3. Listen Without Judgment:

Provide a safe space for them to express their feelings. Practice active listening without trying to solve their problems immediately.

4. Assess for Risk:

If you suspect the person might harm themselves or others, don't be afraid to ask directly about suicidal thoughts or plans.
