Never apply there things to your face

Skincare trends have changed a lot. From Katrina's ice facial to 9 steps Korean skincare to just applying sunscreen. With all this information out there it becomes difficult to understand what should be applied to the face but, it's important to understand that in the process of experimenting and understanding what works for us we shouldn't harm our skin. Here are 5 things that you should never apply to your skin even in the process of trying and error because they can cause a lot of harm.

1. Hot water: Hot water evaporates and absorbs the moisture of your skin making your skin dehydrated. you may even get a burn, so stay careful.

2. Toothpaste: Do not apply toothpastes on your skin, not even on your pimples. Toothpaste contains triclosan and also has chemicals and alcohol which will further irritate your skin. It can lead to blemishes, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation which can also cause burns.

3. Baking soda: A lot of people use baking soda to lighten the skin complexion, but it can irritate the skin and can cause more hyperpigmentation over some time.

4. Lemon juice: A lot of people apply lemon juice, thinking that it is going to lighten the blemishes, but actually it's citric acid. It's an AHA, but it's concentrated. It can irritate the skin especially if your skin is dry and flaky and then you may develop post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or darkening of the skin

5. Apple cider vinegar: It is again an irritating ingredient for the skin as it is an acid and it can cause blemishes, and scars.
