Although a lot of people think that the only way to include vitamin C in your regime is skincare but there are even better ways of including it in your diet. Vitamin C also widely known as ascorbic acid is extremely important for proper functioning of the immune system and not only this but it is also responsible to keep your body protected from diseases and infections. Initially, vitamin C was used only for treating scurvy which was a type of deficiency but today vitamin C is used widely to treat even chronic diseases like breast cancer and cardiovascular diseases. It also acts as a great cure for problems such as high cholestrol and blood pressure.

  1. Citrus fruits: raw citrus fruits such as lemon, orange, sweet lime and etc have high vitamin C content and hence are the greatest sources of the same because there is no dilution at all. If not fresh fuits one can also consume fruit juices but make sure that the calorie count is low.
  2. Broccoli: broccoli contains as much as vitamin C as an orange. Not only vitamin C but broccoli is also rich in calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc.
  3. Kiwi: it has been recorded that kiwi also has a good amount of vitamin C in it.
  4. Kale: almost all green and leafy vegetables have great amount of nutrients but specifically kale is rich in Vitamin C.
  5. Guava: this is not a citrus fruit but has proven to be a rich source of vitamin C and is helpful towards digestive system.
