With so much skincare advice, products and brands out there , we try to follow random skincare hacks . From having a 10 step skincare routine to applying random creams and lotion, we try everything . But, did you know that in the process of doing good to your skin you might end up harming it? 

Here are 10 things you should never do to your skin:

1. Touching your face: Touching your face can be tempting, but every time you touch your face the bacteria in your hands land up on your face that might face skin issues.

2. Never washing your face or washing too often: Few people don't care to clean their face while others think washing it too often can erase the skin issues. Well, that's not true as not washing can clog your pores and over-washing can strip your face's natural oil. So stick to washing your face twice.

3. Not removing makeup: We love makeup but we hate clogging pores and to avoid that we need to remove makeup before sleeping.

4. Not wearing sunscreen: Sunscreen is the most important skincare product. It protects your skin from pigmentation, heals it, prevents skin's early ageing and protects you from skin cancer. So don't skip your sunscreen and reapply it after every 4 hours. 

5. Not moisturising: Skipping moisturiser is unhealthy for your skin as this might make your skin think you need moisture and it will end up releasing oil,l making your pores clogged and causing acne.

6. Using the product without knowing your skin type: Using skincare products without knowing your skin type is not advised as it might worsen your skin concern.

7. Using makeup wipes regularly: Makeup wipes are bad for the environment and skin so it's time to ditch them.

8. Rubbing your skin during skincare: Skincare is all about being gentle with your skin. It can lead to early ageing.

9. Exfoliation mistakes: Exfoliation of the skin is very important as it removes dead cells but ignoring it or doing it too often harms your skin.

You should only exfoliate once or twice a week. 

10. Using too many actives: Using all many products and actives in your skin that burden your skin causing breakout and you might lose your healthy skin barrier. Stick to basic:

  • Cleanse 
  • Moisturise 
  • Protect (SPF)
  • Exfoliate (Once a week)
