Products for your Skin Type

We must inquire and research about our skin. Failing to understand one's skin can lead to infections and breakouts. Choose products for your skin.

Just as our bodies do not fit all sizes, our skin can not adapt to the same drugs or formulas. Every human is naturally beautiful in their own way. Makeup is just another way to enhance that beauty. Choosing the right product for your skin is important to keep the skin's natural composition healthy. The wrong product might irritate the skin and cause acne, eczema, or infection.

Products with chemical and toxic ingredients can clog the pores on the uppermost layer of skin. If your skin is sensitive and you do not apply the right product, it can disturb the natural components.

Your kind of skin

First of all, one must understand their skin type. There is normal, sensitive, dry, oily, and combination (oily+dry) skin.

  • Normal skin type: It is neither oily nor dry, just perfectly balanced. This kind of skin is less prone to acne because of the small pores. The regular products available are suitable for this type because they are less sensitive.

  • Oily skin type: The skin produces a lot of sebum, which makes the skin look greasy and appear shiny. This skin type has enlarged pores and is more prone to acne. Even though the skin produces its own natural oils, that does not mean that it requires less moisture. Products that last long and can hold on to oily skin are suited for this skin type.

  • Dry Skin Type: The skin produces fewer natural oils, which can make it appear flaky and dehydrated and cause itching. People with this type of skin can get fine lines sooner. Products that nourish the skin are better suited for this type of skin.

  • Combination skin type: This type of skin has the characteristics of oily and dry skin. Usually, the t-zone is oily, and the cheeks remain dry and flaky. Products that can keep the cheeks moisturized and the t-zone less shiny are recommended for this skin type.

  • Sensitive skin type: This is not a skin type, but when the skin becomes sensitive, it gets irritated, red, itchy, and has breakouts. One has to be careful about the composition of the drug and the fragrance of the product before applying it.

These are the types of skin that are the most common and have products specially crafted to suit them.

Just as we are particular about what we eat, we should also consider the things we apply to our skin.
