Soy can Replace Chicken for your Protein intake

Soy is a great source of protein for vegetarians and vegan lovers. It has multiple uses in the more soybeans, soy milk, soybean oil, and supplements.

Want a healthy protein source in your diet? Is it chicken or eggs? 

You may be surprised to learn that plant proteins are a healthy substitute for animal proteins. Soy is one of those plant-based proteins that is rich and nutritious. Soybeans are readily available on the market and are a cheaper source of protein. Roughly, you can get 5 packets of soybeans for just 25 rupees. This legume is affordable, rich in protein, and healthy. It is an amazing replacement for a vegan diet. 

Soybeans can be consumed in a lot of ways. It can be mixed with rice, and soy milk, which is lactose-free and can be consumed as a supplement. Soybeans are rich in nutrients like antioxidants, fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, etc. Tofu is another soy product, again a substitute for dairy products like paneer.  Soybean Oil is also beneficial while frying and baking because it has a high smoke point.

Heart HEALTH-It is found that a soy-rich diet can prevent cardiovascular diseases like strokes and heart attacks. Soy can also help regulate cholesterol, which can cause heart disease. 

Menopause- Soy contains phytoestrogen, which is found to help in reducing menopausal symptoms like hot flashes, cramps, mood swings, etc. It is also known to help cure sleeping disorders because it contains magnesium. 

Soybean can also be a good post-workout meal because of its rich content of fiber, protein, and vitamins. It also contains amino acids, which help in muscle recovery. Another reason for soybeans’ popularity is because they help with weight loss. Protein keeps you full, and hence when on a diet, consuming soy can help fight cravings. Dishes that can be made out of soy are soy kebabs, soy milkshakes, soy mixed with rice, etc. Also, daily to 2 doses of soybeans can be beneficial. 

In the long run, any food consumed for longer than needed can be harmful, and hence, one should be mindful while consuming soy supplements. Other than that, soy is a great substitute for animal-based proteins, which can be harmful for our body and for the environment too.
