A woman's body undergoes several changes throughout their life. One such thing is the accumulation of fat during various time frames in their lives. Let us have a look at the types of fats and how to tackle with it.

Our body is very prone to gaining fat quite easily. Fat gain is a result of a hectic lifestyle along with unhealthy eating patterns. The jobs that fulfill the new generation's needs also demand sitting at one place for hours and eating snacks that are easy to grab and go. This has resulted in excess belly fat and decrease in the intake of nutrient-rich foods. 

What harm can excess belly fat cause?

Although a little belly fat is okay for your health, excess belly fat has always proven to be harmful to our bodies. This fat can worsen your health and can also cause certain chronic diseases which become difficult to cure. Fat is also extremely harmful to the heart. This fat is also responsible for transferring toxic substances like fatty acids, and inflammatory proteins to the liver. It may also prove to be harmful to the development of insulin and increase blood pressure. 

What are the types of belly fat?

As compared to the rest of the body, only a small amount of fat is present in the belly. There are two main types of belly fats:

  1. Subcutaneous Belly fat: this is the kind of fat that is found under your skin. It is present in the female body in greater amounts than in male body. Since this fat is located in your abdominal cavity it is not responsible for many diseases that are caused. But it can be considered responsible for risks of chronic diseases such as type-2 diabetes, heart diseases and cancer.
  2. Visceral Belly fat: this is the kind of fat that surrounds the internal organs in the body such as kidneys, liver, and pancreas. This fat is harmful as it is contains more cells, blood vessels, and nerves as compared to subcutaneous fat. This fat has been held responsible for insulin resistance, elevated blood sugar levels, and metabolic diseases. 

Ways to lose belly fat.

The belly fat that gets accumulated is easy to lose if you follow a pattern of diet and exercise.

  1. Cutting down sugar
  2. Working out at least 4 times a week
  3. Increasing the fiber intake 
  4. Limiting alcohol
  5. Increasing protein intake

If one follows the above steps it is super easy to lose belly fat in a matter of months. This isn't only for women but also for men who have gained a higher amount of belly fat through the years.
