What is that one thing that caters to everyone? Protein bars! You go to the gym and, a protein bar. You run 100 errands in a day, protein bar. You are a new mom with baby duties, a protein bar. There is almost nothing that a good protein bar cannot fix.

Delicious Chocolate Chikki Recipe For Your Sweet Tooth!

Protein is one of the most essential elements in everyone's nutritional journey. It is one of those things that almost everyone, be it a kid, be it a gym bro, be it a new mom, or be it your grandfather loves wholeheartedly. Protein bars are derivatives of chikki, which is an Indian snack made with nuts and nougat. However, these protein bars fulfill the requirements of protein in the human body better than anything else does.  

Protein bars are a great snack when you feel like munching on something unhealthy or even when your sweet tooth starts acting up a lot. Not only protein but it is also a great source of fiber and carbohydrates which should be fulfilled during a daily diet. Let us now see how to make these protein bars at home!

1. Oatmeal protein bar:

Ingredients: Rolled oats, dates(preferably seedless), peanut butter, maple syrup or honey, salt, vanilla, dry fruits of choice.

Procedure: Add oats, dates, peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt in a blender and blend until the mixture comes together. Transfer this mixture to a bowl and add the chopped nuts of your choice. Spread the mixture on a butter paper into sheets of 2-inch thickness. Bake them at 300 Degrees for an hour. Your baked oatmeal protein bars are ready. 

2. Coconut and chocolate peanut butter protein bars:

Ingredients: Peanut butter, coconut oil, honey, Gytree chocolate protein powder, oats, dry nuts, chia seeds, desiccated coconut, and chocolate.

Procedure: In a bowl, mix the peanut butter, coconut oil, honey, and vanilla and mix till it forms a smooth batter. Fold in your chocolate protein powder, oats, dry nuts, chia seeds, and desiccated coconut. Spread this mixture in a lined cake tin and let it harden for a while. Melt the chocolate and dip the cut-out protein bars in the same. Refrigerate and enjoy!

 3. Protein crunch bars:

Ingredients: crispy rice cereal, almond butter, honey, protein powder, salt, and vanilla.

Procedure: add the rice cereal, honey, almond butter, protein powder and salt in a mixing bowl.Line a cake tin with grease proof paper and press the rice cereal mixture onto it. Top with melted chocolate and sprinkle some salt over it. Refrigerate and you are good to go!

4. Quinoa protein bars:

Ingredients: quinoa, coconut flakes, chickpeas, pineapple, protein powder, salt, white chocolate chips, honey and coconut oil.

Procedure: Toast the quinoa and coconut flakes till they turn golden brown in the oven. Churn the steamed chickpeas in a blender and transfer them to a bowl. Add the quinoa, protein powder, pineapple, chocolate chips, salt, honey, and coconut flakes to the chickpea mixture and mix till it all comes together. Spread the bars on a baking tray and bake them at 350 degrees for 40 mins. Cool them down and cut them into bite-sized pieces and you are done!
